Worship Service 10:15 A.M.

Our 10:15 Sunday worship service is contemporary, but follows a traditional format and structure: prelude, call to worship, processional hymn, invocation, Gloria Patri, welcome and informal moments, pastoral prayer, children's sermon, offering, communion, anthem, Scripture, sermon, invitation hymn, benediction and postlude. Communion is served every Sunday and is open to all believers in Christ. It is not necessary to be a member to take communion.

Our worship service is characterized by the active participation of lay members. Each service includes deacons who collect the offering and serve communion, elders who lead the communion, a lay member liturgist, and vocal and instrumental music from a variety of choral groups or individuals. The ministers provide the welcome, children's sermon, pastoral prayer, scripture reading, words of institution, sermon, and benediction.

Our worship services are contemporary in that they are a biblical approach to everyday life, with friendly announcements of activities, and calls for support of mission efforts. All ages and groups of the congregation participate as lay leaders, including children, youth, women, men, elderly, families, etc. Both casual and traditional clothing is worn at the Sunday morning service.

A variety of music is performed and sung, with contemporary hymns, as well as old favorites being sung on a regular basis. Choirs, guest performers, and other musical groups likewise play or sing modern as well as classic musical numbers.

A ramp into the sanctuary and fellowship hall area is available from the north parking lot and the east driveway. Entrance into the lower level, where the youth and church school classes are located, are from the west parking lot. We also have individual hearing assisted devises for worship.

We provide a loving, caring nursery for young children during church school and the worship service. It is located just a few steps from the sanctuary and is staffed with well-qualified leaders who provide quality care in a safe, nurturing environment.

Children's church, for children between the ages of 5 and 12, is held after the children's sermon at worship time. There they can enjoy music and lessons prepared especially for them.
